I am Laura Parker. This is my 2nd year at Three Way ISD, and I love being a Brave! It is also my 27th year in education and my 17th year as a counselor. I was born and raised in Comanche, Texas, where I was the 5th generation, and my children are the 6th generation to be raised there. My children, James and Amy, are grown and live in Austin and Arlington. I obtained my bachelor's degree from Angelo State University and my teacher certification from Tarleton State University. I hold a degree as a Dyslexia Therapist from The Scottish Rite Learning Center of West Texas. My Master of Education in Counseling was earned from Sul Ross University. I have taught elementary music, art, and technology. Over the years, I have been Technology Director, Special Programs Director, Dyslexia Therapist, District Testing Coordinator, GT Coordinator, and member of leadership teams, numerous sponsorships, duties, and head of committees. As a school counselor, I am in the profession God wants me to advocate for all students to help them succeed. When working with students, I provide academic, career, personal, and social.
