Conflict vs. Bullying: What’s the Difference?
At school, we work hard to help students understand the difference between normal conflict and bullying.

Conflict happens from time to time. It is usually between students with equal power, happens in the moment, and both sides are often upset. In most cases, conflict can be talked through, resolved, and used as a learning opportunity.

Bullying is different. Bullying is repeated, intentional, and meant to hurt, harm, or control another person. It often involves an imbalance of power, and it does not stop when the other person is upset. Bullying should be taken seriously and addressed right away.

At Three Way, we do take bullying seriously. If your student needs to report concerning behavior, there is an anonymous reporting link available on our website.

Helping students understand these differences is an important part of building a safe, respectful school environment. We encourage families to continue these conversations at home as we work together to support our students.

If you ever have concerns about your child or a situation at school, please reach out to your campus office. We are here to help!
