Morning Routines and Expectations

  • 🚌 Cowboy Church Bus pick up time is 6:15 am - 6:20 am
  • 🚌 Seldon VFS pick up time is 6:40 am
  • 🚗 Car rider drop off time is 7:00 am - 7:25 am. For safety, parents/students may not walk up to the gate during drop off time, please remain in the drop off line.
  • Students in grades Pre-K - 8th grade will be dropped off at the elementary; students in 9th-12th grade will be dropped off at the high school.
  • 🥞 Breakfast is served at both campuses from 7:00 am - 7:15 am
  • ⏰ School starts at 7:25 am, students arriving to campus after 7:25 am will need to report to the front office to be signed in/receive a tardy slip
  • 📱 Students in grades 6th-12th should be prepared to turn in their cell phones upon arrival to campus.

End of Day/Dismissal Routines and Expectations

  • ⏰ Dismissal is at 3:45 pm.
  • 📱 Phones will be returned at dismissal time.
  • 🚗 Car pick up will begin promptly following dismissal. Again, parents/students may not walk up to the gate during pick up time, please remain in the pick up line.
  • Please note there are 2 pick up lines:
  1. All Pre-K and Kindergarten students and their 1st - 8th grade siblings will be picked up at the gate closest to the Pre-K/Kinder buildings. If your child needs extra help with their seat belt, please pull up to a parking space to do so.
  2. All other students in grades 1st-8th will be picked up at the main elementary gate (same as the drop off gate).
  3. All 9th-12th grade students will be picked up at the high school.
  • 🚌 Cowboy Church Bus drop off is expected at 3:55 pm. Students must be met by a parent/guardian at the designated bus stop. Any student who is not met by a parent/guardian will be returned to campus for pickup.
  • 🚌 Selden VFS Bus drop off is expected close to 4:25. Students must be met by a parent/guardian at the designated bus stop. Any student who is not met by a parent/guardian will be returned to campus for pickup.



  • The front office is closed to parents and visitors from 3:15 pm until dismissal is complete.
  • If you need to make changes to your child's after school transportation, you must notify the front office in writing before 2:30 pm.

Visiting Campus

  • ALL visitors will sign in at the elementary/admin office. Please be prepared to show your ID.
  • Please note the high school is a CLOSED CAMPUS. This means visitors (including parents) are not allowed on campus outside of district sanctioned events.
 

Other FAQs

Q: 🥞 Can I eat breakfast with my student?
A: No, breakfast is not open to parents/visitors.

Q: 🍽️ Can I eat lunch with my student or bring my student lunch?
A: Yes! All visitors must sign-in with the front office prior to entering campus. Please be prepared to show your ID. Our cafeteria provides a visitors table for you and your child. Please note this only applies to the elementary campus, the secondary campus is a Closed Campus during the school day.

Q: Can I have food/other deliveries made to my student?
A: No. No food or other delivery services should deliver to students at school.

Q: 🍎 Can I bring snacks for my child's class?
A: Yes! Snacks must follow our snack guidelines. Click here to review the snack guidelines.

Q: Can my child leave for lunch?
A: No. TWISD is a closed campus. All students must be signed out by a parent/guardian.
 
📱 Q: What if I need to contact my student or they need to contact me during the school day?
A: You may call the front office at any point during the school day to get a message to your student. Students may come to the front office to contact their parent if needed.

Q: Can I come watch my child's athletic practice?
A: No. All athletic practices are closed to the public.

Q: One of my children has after school practice or an after school event. Can my other child stay at school until the practice/event is over.?
A: No. Students who are not participating the after school practice/event should have arrangements to be picked up at dismissal time.

Q: There is an after school game or event. Can my child stay at school until the event?
A: No. Students must be picked up at dismissal time. They may return to school with a parent/guardian for the game/event.

Q: Can my child sign themselves out of school?
A: No. All students must be signed out by a parent/guardian. If you are not present to sign your child out you must contact the front office and provide written documentation.

Q: Can my older child sign out their younger sibling?
A: No. All students must be signed out by a parent/guardian. If your younger child needs to be signed out by an older sibling, you must contact the front office and provide written documentation.

Q: My child is going home with someone else, what do I do?
A: If you need to make changes to your child's after school transportation, you must notify the front office in writing before 2:30pm.
