Weekly Highlights & Announcements

📚🏆 Attendance Challenge!

Our Braves are showing up—and we LOVE to see it! ❤️🖤

Last week, we celebrated an incredible 99% district-wide attendance rate, and our students are keeping the momentum going! This week, Elementary came back with another 99% attendance week, while Secondary posted an impressive 97%! 👏🎉

Elementary, we see you! 👀🔥 99% two weeks in a row is no small feat! But Secondary… 97%?! 😏 We have a feeling you’ve got a couple more percentage points in you. Attendance Wars have officially begun! 🏆📈

Who will take the top spot next week? Show up. Be here. Bring your classmates with you. Let’s see which campus can claim the attendance crown! 👑❤️🖤

📚 YEARBOOKS HAVE ARRIVED! 🎉

The wait is over, Braves! ❤️🖤 The 2025–26 yearbooks have arrived! If you ordered a yearbook, your copy has already been delivered and is ready to be enjoyed! 📖✨

Missed out on ordering one? We have a limited number of extras available for purchase for $[COST] each, while supplies last! Available for purchase at the Elementary Office with Ms. Rosa 💵 Cash or check payable to TWISD

Don’t miss your chance to grab a copy and relive all the memories from the 2025–26 school year! 📸❤️🖤 Once they're gone, they're gone!

🏐❤️🖤 Lady Braves on a Roll!

Our Lady Braves Junior High Volleyball team is officially on a winning streak! 🎉🏐 After opening the season with a win, the Lady Braves followed it up with another victory in their second game of the season - and their first home game! 🙌

We are so proud of the hard work, teamwork, and determination these athletes are showing on the court. What a great start to the season!
Keep it rolling, Lady Braves! ❤️🖤🏐🔥

📣❤️🖤 Pep Rally Spirit!

The excitement is ramping up at our pep rallies! 📣🔥 While our big Braves know how to bring the energy and get the crowd fired up, our little Braves are ready to return the favor! ❤️🖤

Our first graders came ready to cheer on our Lady Braves Cheerleaders, proving that Braves spirit has no age limit! From the biggest Brave to the littlest Brave, we’re all here to support, celebrate, and cheer each other on.

Keep bringing the hype, Braves—we’ll see you at the next pep rally! 📣🏈🐮❤️🖤

🌟 Student & Staff Recognition 🌟

BRAVES of the Week - Responsibility

BRAVES of the Week are nominated by TWISD staff. They are "caught" being BRAVE or exhibiting our Character Strong trait of the month.

Elementary

Placido for his kind heart and effort in growth in his English comprehension. Great job!

Caleb for showing kindness in the hallways.

Parker is both respectful and responsible in class. She follows class expectations such as being quiet in line, and leads by example.

Secondary

Mia - She is a very respectful student and ready to learn. Also so much growth in English!

Brooklyn M. for her positive attitude when faced with a challenge.

Luis for his respectful manners with everyone!

Tayla - She has integrated so well into the district. She actively participates in events, is very respectful to her teachers, and does a great job in class!

Students of the Month

Each month, students are nominated by teachers and staff members who see them living out our BRAVES values and demonstrating our Character Trait of the Month. For August, that trait was Respect—and these students have shown us what it looks like to treat others with kindness, consideration, and integrity.

Congratulations to our Elementary Student of the Month, Sterling Heck, and Secondary Student of the Month, Gage Thompson! 🎉

Your actions and character make a positive difference in our school community, and we are so proud to celebrate you! Keep leading by example, Braves!

Staff of the Month

Each month, staff members have the opportunity to nominate a colleague who goes above and beyond to live out our BRAVES values and model our Character Trait of the Month. For August, that trait was Respect—and this staff member has truly exemplified what it means to lead with kindness, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to others.

Coach Berry, thank you for the positive impact you make on our students, our staff, and our entire school community. We are grateful for all that you do and proud to call you a Brave!

Trait of the Month: Responsibility

"Success begins with doing what you're supposed to do."
